“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and
to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they
might have it more abundantly”. – John 10:10
Think About
this:
1. Everything God created was perfect and good.
“And God saw
everything that he had made, and, behold, it was VERY GOOD. And the evening and
the morning were the sixth day”. (Genesis 1:31)
2. The Life of God was in man.
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of
the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a
living soul”. (Genesis 2:7)
These two verses is what meditating on.
If everything God created was very good,
then where do part things come from?
We all know that sickness is bad because of the terrible effects it has
on humanity.
The question is, “Where does bad thing like sickness comes from?”
If you look at the second scripture, it said God breathe into the
nostril of man the BREATH OF LIFE. But what is the breath of life?
The breath of life is the life of God in man. It is God imparting His
Spirit and Nature into man.
This was the life Jesus was called ‘ABUNDANT LIFE’ in the gospel of
John.
Can sickness be part of the breath of life? Or can sickness be part of
the ABUNDANT LIFE packages? Definitely NO!!!
***Sin lead to the fall of Man
from Divine Life, Grace and Glory***
The Sin and the Curse
“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it
was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took
of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and
he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew
that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves
aprons.
8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his
wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the
garden.
9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and
said unto him, Where art thou?
10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I
was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked?
Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not
eat?
12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be
with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
13 And the Lord God said unto the woman, What
is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I
did eat.
14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent,
Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every
beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all
the days of thy life:
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman,
and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt
bruise his heel.
16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy
sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy
desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened
unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded
thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in
sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life”. (Genesis 3: 6-17)
Sin and falling from the Glorious life
“For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God”. (Romans 3: 23)
Sin brought the Curse of Sickness
“But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes
which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and
overtake you:
16 “Cursed shall
you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country.
17 “Cursed shall
be your basket and your kneading bowl.
18 “Cursed shall
be the fruit of your body and the produce of your land, the increase of
your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
19 “Cursed shall
you be when you come in, and
cursed shall you be when you go out.
20 “The Lord will send on you cursing,
confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are
destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your
doings in which you have forsaken Me. 21 The Lord will make the plague cling to you until He has consumed you from the
land which you are going to possess. 22 The Lord will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with
severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching, and with mildew; they
shall pursue you until you perish. 23 And your heavens which are over your head shall be bronze,
and the earth which is under you shall
be iron. 24 The Lord will change the rain of your
land to powder and dust; from the heaven it shall come down on you until you
are destroyed. (Deuteronomy 28:15-24)
What Does the Bible Say About Sickness?
1.
The
Scripture called sickness CAPTIVITY
“So Satan went out from the presence of the
Lord, and struck Job with
painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head”. (Job 2:7)
“And the Lord restored Job’s captivity
when he prayed for his friends”. (Job 42:10)
2.
The Scripture called sickness INFIRMITY and BONDAGE
10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the
sabbath.
11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years,
and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and
said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she
was made straight, and glorified God.
14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with
indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto
the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore
come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou
hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from
the stall, and lead him away to watering?
16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham,
whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? (Luke 13:
10-16)
3.
The
Scripture called sickness OPPRESSION
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the
Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were
oppressed of the devil; for God was
with him”. (Acts 10:38)
THE RIGHT PERSPECTIVE
·
We must see sickness as our enemy and enemy of
God.
·
We must germs living creatures from satan, and
not natural.
·
Germs (bacteria, virus, fungi, protozoa, and
parasite) are evil spirit and weapons of satan.
·
Many sicknesses are caused by spirit of
infirmity, spirit of pain and spirit of affliction.
·
Sickness can be rebuked or destroyed (e.g.
fever, malaria, stomach ache e.t.c).
o Jesus
rebuked fever (
o Sickness
does not fulfill the Kingdom plan of God; it only promotes the agenda of satan
to kill, steal and destroy.
